Plot Outline

Ashe Parker, Harlan, KY and Ronda Smalling, Ball Play, TN met while filming a movie in Eastern Kentucky in 2010.

Ashe played the leading lady of the film, and Ronda was the Videographer/Director.

One night after filming, Ronda and Ashe were joking around about stories of past jobs and Ashe stated how she could write a book about all of the stories she has been told throughout her former career as a caseworker… in which Ronda replied, “well let’s write a movie!” And so they did.“Woman in the Mirror” was an idea developed between these two creative minds, and the screenplay was actually written within just a few months via text messages and emails. They held a casting call in Knoxville, TN at The Studio Model and Talent Agency, where both ladies are clients. They begin filming the movie summer of 2011, and wrapped the film December 2011, 6 months later. All the cast and crew of the film had normal day to day jobs, so they were only able to film on the weekends. They are very proud of the team that came along to help them out. “We had the best cast and crew anyone could ask for and we couldn’t have completed the film without them!” -Ashe Parker.“Woman in the Mirror” is a suspense film about a young couple who fall in love, decide to get married, and move into their first home. What they don’t know is the woman who owned the home before them, killed herself in front of a mirror in her house. She went crazy and believed she had magical witch like powers and the town people made fun of her to the point she committed suicide and placed a curse on the mirror. When the couple moves into the home, Elizabeth (played by Ashe) finds the mirror and falls in love with it, wanting to keep it. Her personality soon starts to change, and their marriage starts falling apart. Elizabeth starts acting out in ways that are nothing like her sweet, caseworker, loving wife type character. She starts seeing a family doctor and eventually he realizes that his patient has been cursed, as the doctor use to treat the woman who committed suicide. The doctor searches his files and finds a note from his former patient, cursing the mirror of whoever hung it back on the wall. Will it be too late to save Elizabeth from this curse, or can the doctor help before it’s too late? You will just have to watch the movie to see! These two creative minds put quite a twist on the ending of the movie, one that will leave you wondering if a sequel may be in the works.
